COVID-19 Practices & Procedures

At Seawind Landing, our priority is the safety of our guests and employees.  In response to the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have changed our operating and cleaning/disinfecting procedures to manage this risk.

Upon arrival at Seawind Landing, we will be asking all guests and staff to confirm they are not exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms and that no-one in their household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 7 days.  If any guest or staff members cannot confirm this statement, we will recommend a course of action in compliance with the orders from the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

All guests and staff are asked to maintain appropriate social distancing measures on the property at all times.  We will be putting in place appropriate physical barriers where this is not possible.

Seawind Landing Country Inn

Our staff will not be entering your room during your stay with us.  Items that you would like removed from your room during your stay, such as used towels or garbage, should be sealed in bags provided and left outside your room for pick-up.  To arrange for pick-up or if you need any additional items during your stay, the front desk will happily assist.

Guest room cleaning procedures before check-in have been altered to minimize the risk from COVID-19 including thorough cleaning and disinfection of all high touch surfaces such as switches, remotes, doorknobs, etc.  All common areas will have high touch surfaces disinfected frequently during the day.   Outdoor furniture will be cleaned and disinfected daily.  Books can be borrowed from the library but must be returned to the front desk for appropriate treatment.

Dining will still be available with table service for dinner and breakfast.  Reservations are required for both dinner and breakfast as we will be limiting the number of diners and controlling the flow of traffic to ensure that physical distancing can be maintained.  Our servers will be wearing masks.  A cleaning and disinfection of tables will occur between each seating.  Guest patience during this time is appreciated as service will be slowed.

If you have any concerns or questions about our protocols, please do not hesitate to reach out to us during your stay or beforehand.
